New Friday afternoon weekly class - 3.00pm to 5.00pm
New term starts on 21st April. This Class is now Full.
In this class we will use clay and glazes that fire up to 'earthenware' temperatures - 1120c. This temperature uses glazes that give bright colours and are mostly applied with a brush rather than dipping. I have a wide range of beautiful colours to choose from. We will be using both light coloured clay and terracotta clay which give different characteristics to your pottery. You will also be able to paint ready-made bisqueware which enables you to concentrate more on the painting. Or you can design and make your own pottery pieces and then decorate with glaze after they've had their first firing. I am keen to run this class because the lower firing temperatures are mindful of reducing energy and caring for the environment.
